Day 10: Wed. Apr. 15, 2015 - Kodachrome State Park & Escalante Grand Staircase National Monument

Today we drove down Cottonwood Canyon Road that traverses southward through the Grand Staircase-Esacalante National Monument (GSENM) park, which started only a couple of miles from our campground in Kodachrome State Park.

It was a chilly morning (about 5 degrees Celsius), but we still were in awe of the beautiful Grosvenor Arch, down the Cottonwood Canyon Road.

Next we had lots of fun exploring a slot canyon, Cottonwood Narrows North...

Lucas practiced his standing skills in the slot canyon.

Yes, it got narrow in some spots!

Later that evening, we enjoyed an amazingly beautiful and memorable hike on the Angel's Palace trail, that starts right next to the campground in Kodachrome State Park.

This narrow, high part of the trail provided a gorgeous panoramic view, and an increased heart rate:

Can you spot the tiny speck that is Rob with Lucas on his back in this one?

A sunset panorama from the same Angel's Palace trail:

And a family selfie to wrap up this memorable evening hike:
