Day 20: Saturday, April 25, 2015 - Moab, UT

Today we woke up to rain, a fairly uncommon thing in this area. It was also our first day of rain on the trip.

Rob made us banana pancakes for breakfast, including small ones just the right size for Lucas, that he really enjoyed.

We hung out in the trailer until the rain stopped, then also did laundry while Lucas had his morning nap.

By then, around 9:30 a.m., the rain was done (for now), and the sun came out! Lucas got to visit with his favourite campground tree again too.

We had a yummy lunch at a local restaurant called the "Love Muffin Café" that was highly rated on Trip Advisor. We had excellent lattes with delicious grilled sandwiches.

Since you can't mountain bike or drive on off-road trails here when they are wet, we went to this weekend's car show (over 750 cars came to town!) and wandered around a bit.

Rob particularly enjoyed the Rat Rods...

...and we found a car for Lucas too:

Then we went for groceries and gas, and the rain started again as we returned to our trailer.

We really enjoyed a lazy afternoon and evening at the trailer while it rained, in part because I needed a few hours to catch up on this blog, but also because it was nice to let Lucas just play and not have him in the car seat as much. It was nice to slow down a bit, as we have really been on the go, as evidenced by my 90,000 or so Fitbit steps this week!

The sun came out again long enough for us to have dinner outside...

...but then just as we finished our meal the rain returned for the rest of the evening shortly after:
