This morning we left Green River fairly early and made the short trip to Moab, which was only 50 miles or so. Our shortest drive so far!
When we arrived in Moab, much to our disappointment,
we discovered that the campground we had reserved with online (Slickrock Campground) was a hole. The sites were extremely close together, the picnic tables were so old they were splintering, the whole place was generally a mess, AND it was covered in poplar fluff,
that I'm highly allergic to. We decided immediately to just cut our losses and find somewhere else to stay.
Thankfully we scored a site at Moab Valley RV Resort instead, due to arriving shortly after they had a cancellation. Phew! Vacation saved! This is an excellent campground, very clean, great facilities, and super friendly staff as well. Lucas likes it too!
We got settled in, let Lucas play for a while, and had supper. Then we went for an evening Bike ride on the Moab Canyon paved bike path, starting out across the road from our campground, riding to Arches National Park.
The whole ride there and back, with stops for photo ops, was only about 45 minutes.
